The RRD 1 I1 O1 GEMINI is a high-tech robotic depalletising system for reams of cartons, composed of two robot arms. The first robot picks up the reams from the pallet and places them in the centring unit. A vision system, with inspection camera incorporated in the robot, provides the customer with total control of the number of reams depalletised as it detects the position of the ream and picks it correctly. The second robot cuts the strapping material and feeds the carton former. The system can be supplied with a specific device for grinding the strapping material, ensuring significant space savings. The Gemini system can handle up to six different product formats.
